By downloading, installing, or using Alfred ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of the App
Alfred is an AI-powered personal assistant for iOS that provides the following features:
Recording and transcribing conversations using on-device speech recognition
Analyzing transcripts to extract action items, decisions, and summaries using on-device AI
Identifying different speakers in conversations
Optionally syncing extracted items to iOS Reminders and Calendar
Providing an AI chat assistant for questions about your recorded sessions
Core processing occurs on your device. AI features use Apple Intelligence, which may process data on-device or via Apple's end-to-end encrypted Private Cloud Compute. No data is sent to third-party AI services.
3. Pricing and Purchase
Alfred is available as a one-time purchase for $1.99 (USD) through the Apple App Store. There are no subscriptions, recurring fees, or in-app purchases required to access any features.
One-time payment: You pay once and receive full access to all features, including future updates, at no additional cost
Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple's standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com
Price changes: We reserve the right to change the price for future purchasers. Price changes do not affect existing users who have already purchased the App
Family Sharing: The App supports Apple Family Sharing, allowing up to 6 family members to use the App from a single purchase
4. Requirements
iOS 26 or later is required
AI features (Apple Intelligence) require compatible hardware (iPhone 15 Pro or later)
The App requires microphone and speech recognition permissions to function
5. User Responsibilities
By using Alfred, you agree to:
Comply with applicable laws: You are responsible for ensuring that recording conversations complies with local laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. Many regions require the consent of all parties being recorded.
Obtain consent: Before recording any conversation, you should inform and obtain consent from all participants as required by applicable law.
Use responsibly: You agree not to use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized purpose.
Protect your device: Since all data is stored locally, you are responsible for the security of your device, including setting a passcode and enabling biometric protection.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is the intellectual property of the developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
7. AI-Generated Content
Alfred uses Apple Intelligence and local models to generate transcriptions, summaries, action items, and other content. Apple Intelligence may process data on-device or via Apple's Private Cloud Compute (end-to-end encrypted). Please note:
Accuracy: AI-generated content may not always be accurate. Transcriptions may contain errors, and extracted actions or summaries may not perfectly reflect the original conversation.
Review recommended: You should review AI-generated content before relying on it for important decisions or actions.
No guarantee: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:
Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
Accuracy or reliability of speech recognition or AI analysis
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Compatibility with all devices or iOS versions
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
Loss of data stored on your device
Inaccurate transcriptions or AI analysis
Missed or incorrect action items or reminders
Any consequences arising from reliance on the App's output
10. Recording Laws Notice
Recording conversations may be subject to federal, state, or local laws. Some jurisdictions require all-party consent before recording. It is your sole responsibility to understand and comply with applicable recording laws. The developer assumes no liability for any legal consequences resulting from your use of the recording feature.
11. Third-Party Services
Alfred uses Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models) and Apple's Speech Recognition framework for AI processing. When AI features are enabled, your transcribed text may be processed by Apple via on-device processing or Private Cloud Compute (end-to-end encrypted). When you choose to sync action items to iOS Reminders or Calendar, those items become subject to Apple's terms and conditions. The developer is not responsible for the handling of data by Apple's services.
12. Open-Source Components
The App uses the following open-source component:
FluidAudio (based on pyannote) — Used for on-device speaker identification. Licensed under their respective open-source licenses.
13. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without prior notice.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
